SYNC is a new kind of pickleball tournament—one connected competition played on top of regular, local tournaments. And one where $$ is awarded for EVERY Skill/Age event. You’ll compete in a full tournament at a local venue, while also taking part in the larger SYNC competition. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded locally for each event - for example Mixed Doubles 3.5 40+ and all the other events - just like a traditional tournament. At the same time, your team’s results are entered into the SYNC virtual standings and compared with teams competing in the same event at other locations. For example, if you win Gold in Kansas City, you’ll take home your local Gold medal — and your performance will also be ranked against teams in your event across every participating SYNC location for the chance to become the overall SYNC winner. IF your team finishes with the best overall win/loss record, you WIN $$$! If two or more teams are tied, Point Differential will determine our overall winner for that event. Locations: Multiple including 4 in Indiana, 1 in Kansas, and potentially Louisiana as well. Pricing: $65.00 TOTAL (early bird of $55.25 until October 12, 11:59pm with discount code: EARLYBIRD) Requirements: When you register for the tourney, you either enter your VAIR account or one is created for you (free OR paid) -- super easy and that's the only system you have to be in for this tourney to run. You do NOT need a PBHeart account. :) What you’ll experience at a local SYNC tourney: - Five guaranteed matches - Every team advances from Round Robin into a single-elimination medal bracket - Gold and bronze medal matches - All teams ranked in SYNC and the overall winning team from each event takes home the SYNC prize: CA$H Money! That's right, we are giving $250* to EACH SYNC OVERALL winning team, for each event. *Requires full events at every location or a reduced payout will be given. - All events have a minimum of 4 teams and a max of 5 teams. - Consistent rules, scoring and tournament procedures at every location - Local awards, placement and recognition - Live standings and bracket progress SYNC is designed to give every player a complete tournament experience. You won’t travel to an event, lose twice and be finished. Your round-robin results determine your position in the medal bracket, where competition continues toward the gold and bronze matches. Your final results also contribute to your overall SYNC ranking, which determines the SYNC winner for each eligible event.
